Stretch marks are very annoying to anyone, and people go to any length to get rid of them.

It usually surfaces after pregnancy, but may also occur due to sudden weight gain or weight loss.

But instead of pursuing chemical-laden products that could even worsen the situation, it’s great to opt for natural products that can help reduce stretch marks and lighten them if not make them disappear completely.

Here are a few effective home remedies to reduce stretch marks,  but note that, it requires regular skin care programme and strict discipline from you.

  1. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera has exceptional healing properties that help to regenerate skin tissue. Take the fresh gel from the leaf and massage onto the area with stretch marks and leave on for 20-30 minutes. Do this daily and wash off with tepid water.

  1. Cocoa Butter

Then, we have cocoa butter. Many people have testified to its capacity to make stretch marks disappear completely.

It’s best to use cocoa butter is at night. Massage it well into the skin and over a period of time, you will find the stretch marks reducing and fading away.

  1. Cucumber and Lemon Juice

The combination of lemon juice and cucumber also do some wonders.

Lemon juice has some natural acidity to heal and reduce scars, while cucumber juice comes in to ensure the skin remains fresh.

Mix lime juice and cucumber juice in equal parts, and apply the mixture on the affected areas till it gets soaked up by the skin.

Leave it there for some 10 minutes, and then rinse it off using warm water.
