Skin discolouration probably does more damage to a woman’s beauty than rashes.

This condition is traceable to the distorted release of natural pigmentation, called melanin. It affects the topmost layer of skin, leaving you with brown, reddish or dark patches.

Many times, skin discolouration is caused by melanin overproduction as a result of excess sun exposure. Poor diet, liver problems and indigestion have also been known to cause skin discolouration.

So, it’s important to take the right step to treat this permanently, and right away. These three recipes can come to your aid

1. Lemon Juice and Onion

Apply the juice of one lemon to your discoloured skin twice daily with a cotton ball.

Lemon juice has acid content much enough to remove the top layer of discoloured skin. With continued use, results should be apparent within six to eight weeks.

While using this, it’s also helpful to rub your skin with sliced red onion. It’ll be a double force of correction.

2. Olive Oil

This is also simple. Get some extra virgin olive oil and a warm, wet washcloth.

Extra virgin olive oil is gentle on your skin and adds moisture, helping fade skin spots. Apply olive oil to your skin and wipe clean with a warm, wet washcloth.

You can multiply the benefits by adding Follow with a some lemon juice on the spot, and rinse with water.

3. Vitamin C

This solves the discolouration from the inside. Vitamin C is essential for your skin as it fights the free radicals responsible for skin discolouration.  It also helps with tissue repair, helping your skin to heal properly from the inside out.

All you have to do is eat plenty of vitamin C-enriched foods, such as broccoli and citrus fruits.
